Today, two students gave a talk. They stood in front of the whole school. They talked about brave people from the past. 

　　The first  23  talked about Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa lived in India  24  45 years. During this time,she helped many sick people and children. Mother Teresa had heart problems, but she never stopped  25  people. In 1979, she received the Nobel Prize for her work. The second student spoke about the Wright brothers,  26  made the first airplane in 1903. It was dangerous work  27  they could fall and get hurt. At first the plane could not fly very well. But they kept trying. They made it a year later.

　　Bullying is an important issue that is definitely seen in our world these days. There are various explanations why children or youngsters bully other children. The majority of the community has been or will be bullied throughout their school-age life. The effects of bullying on kids can be devastating; it can create social separation or even suicide. The common reason of bullying is families’ situations that lead to health, wealth and relationship complications in long-time period. Bullying is when somebody or a group of individuals who have more power, persistently and intentionally cause harm or trouble for someone else or group of individuals who really feel helpless to react. 

　　Olweus says there are usually three types of bullying on school-aged children. The first one is physical bullying that involves physical damage and damage to property. Second most common type is called verbal bullying, which contains any type of verbal provocation such as abusive language, insults or racial comments. The next type is cyber bullying; it comprises sending unpolished images, tweeting slang memos, or posting false web pages. There are several different effects which bullying can have on children. Nowadays social separation is a main problem in kids. When children are bullied for a long period of time, it can make them feel inferior and unconfident in themselves that can have a bad effect on the way they intermingle in public. A research shows there are numerous cases of student committing suicide for the past few years. However, sometimes victims go for revenge against the bully with severe acts of violence. Besides, all these people lose their trust in relations, their competence to love and more importantly they restrict themselves to be in a well-meaning relationship in future. Along with all these problems, bullying can also disturb victims’ health; they may suffer from eating disorder or might hurt themselves.

　　When it comes to all-protein diet for weight loss, people keep on asking if it is possible to diet only eating the meats you love. The all-protein diet is a meat diet plan that doesn’t make you give up on eating meat. It is a diet where you reduce intake of carbohydrates such as that found in rice, bread, and vegetables while chewing down on meats and fish satisfying your appetite. By eating meat and eliminating sugars and carbohydrates that turn into fat, you can reduce body fat as well as strengthen your metabolism promoting smoother weight loss. 

　　To ensure your success in weight loss, there are rigid rules you need to follow while you are on the all-protein diet. First, you only eat low-fat content meat, fish, or boiled eggs as the main course in your meal. You can eat as much meat as you like as long as it’s not fatty. When eating fatty meats, be sure to remove as much fat as you can before eating. When you don’t have as much time to cook, eating a hard-boiled egg would be a good substitute for convenience in your diet. 

　　Second, you need to greatly reduce the amount of rice, bread, and vegetables in your diet to a minimum. This may include simply eating half the amount you would eat when not on the all-protein diet. Although most diets say that you should get vegetables in your diet as much as you can, on the all-protein diet you want to reduce carbohydrate intake, staying away from starches like high-carb potatoes. If you really want to have some vegetables, make sure to treat yourself to a healthy vegetable snack such as bowl of Vitamin K rich cucumbers. Eating snack in between meals is fine as long as you stick to meats, fish, and chicken eggs. 

　　Third, you need to screen what you use in seasoning your food. Paying close attention to the things you use to season your food such as sugar or sweet rice wine is important. Note that flour used in frying seafood contains carbohydrates. Always confirm how much carbohydrates you are adding before cooking. 

　　In conclusion, the all-protein diet is a diet where you try not to eat any carbohydrates. If you can’t get your hand out of the cookie jar, the all-protein diet may not be right for you.

　　The Gobi Desert is one of the largest deserts in the world. It  36  between northern China and Mongolia, in the heart of Asia. About half the  37  of India, the Gobi Desert occupies an arc of land 1,300,000 km² in area. Sandstorms are common, and most of the soil has been  38  by strong winds. Plant growth is sparse in the desert’s interior, but its borders of grasslands vary from year to year,  39  different amounts of rain. Humans have lived there for thousands of years as nomads, or wanderers, who raise sheep and cattle. Today their communities are more permanent than in previous centuries. 　　The songs that we hear from songbirds in the spring are often complicated,  43  they are saying something simple. Usually the singers are the males. They often sing at the edge of their territory. In this way, they attract mates and inform other males that this area  44  them. The songs are  45  ; however, they do save real fighting.

　　Mike Schmidt is a 29-year-old businessman. He lives in a small town near Lake Superior in northwestern Wisconsin. He was very upset last month because his house had been  46  several times. So he set up a hidden video camera in his home, hoping that he could catch the burglars in the  47 . The  48  succeeded and the burglars were captured on tape, 49  Schmidt immediately turned over to the police. However, 50  the items the burglars took from his house were two boxes containing marijuana plant. Mr. Schmidt was thus charged with illegal drug possession.
