二、Translate the following English passage into Chinese.（15 分） There has been uproar since the Department of Health announced last Friday that Taiwan would lift a ban on US beef imports. Under the terms of the new agreement, US bone-in beef, ground beef, and brains, etc., from cattle younger than 30 months will be allowed to enter Taiwan starting on Nov. 10. Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin, however, has started a campaign to boycott the imported ground beef from the US. American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Director William Stanton declined to comment on Mayor Hau Lung-bin’s campaign, saying that the US would never export unsafe products. In the meantime, Mr. Stanton urged Taiwanese to look at the scientific facts, claiming that it is safe to eat US beef.
