(a) The matrix of coefficients A and column matrix of constants B are $A = \begin{bmatrix} 1 & 3 & 1 \\ 2 & 5 & 1 \\ 1 & 2 & 3 \end{bmatrix}$ and $B = \begin{bmatrix} -2 \\ -5 \\ 6 \end{bmatrix}$ It is found that |A| = –3 ≠ 0. Thus Cramer’s rule can be applied.
