As the police serve the public in the station, they would sometimes encounter some troubles and conflicts among people. When police are dealing with these seemingly “trifles”, it would require the police’s competence of empathy to solve the problems of theirs. However, no matter how trivial these problems are, the police are still responsible so that they would win people’s trust. Under this circumstance, tones and communicative skills would resolve any conflicts if the police apply the wisdom properly.
In the station, police had better cultivate a comprehensive competence during the provided courses. They should be trained to tackle difficult situations, so if it is possible, the police should be trained by taking some psychological courses held by superintendents. Under several instructions, if the police’s skills of counseling could be cultivated, they would find it easier to mediate disputes of people. For instance, there was once a child quarrelling with his mother, who had called the police for help. And later, a young police went to talk with the boy in a mild tone so as to make him feel that the police himself was a gentle older brother to the boy. And finally, the problem was smoothly resolved after the boy had reconciled with his mother. Such an example is worth learning from for the general police.
