Q2: How can you control the output of the WHR (Waste heat Recovery)systems?
A: The output of WHR can be controlled:
1. By controlling flow through an exhaust gas bypass duct by means of damper.
2. By closing one or more of the isolating valves supplying circulating water to separate sections of the steam generator, when sub-divided inlet headers are provided. Valves must be fully opened or fully shut and not left in an intermediate position.
3. By steam damping to the turbo-generator condenser.
